A speedy recovery is as much a state-of-mind as it is the business of health care. As soon as a resident enters Bedford Drive, they know they are somewhere special. State-of-the-art rehabilitative care is delivered in a soothing, welcoming atmosphere that begins in the private resident suites.

Suites provide residents a place to feel in control of their life while regaining their strength. Here they have their own kitchenettes with granite counter tops, microwave and mini-refrigerator. Favorite shows won’t be missed on 42” flat screen televisions. Free WiFi keeps them connected. Resting is much more comfortable with extra wide Tempur-Pedic mattresses.

Person-centered care begins with a complete treatment plan. At RidgeCrest, every angle is analyzed by our team of experts for you or your loved one’s speedy recovery.

Our physicians consult with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians experts that take the time to accurately pinpoint the source of pain and design a treatment plan that is carried out by you and the medical team. Our full-time onsite licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists administer the individualized treatment plan so you or your loved one can stay as active as possible at any age.

What’s more, therapists and caregivers use state-of-the-art equipment and innovative techniques such as massage therapy to provide as pain-free as possible rehabilitative care. A massage therapist coordinates with the therapy director to treat pain. Effective massage therapy reduces stress, increases range of motion and flexibility, improves circulation and lowers blood pressure so the patient can better relax and heal faster.

Rehabilitation and wellness care extends beyond the body, to include social and spiritual needs. At Bedford Drive, activities are offered to promote independence and help maintain residents’ interests before their need for rehabilitation.

OmniVR – Virtual Rehabilitation System: The first virtual rehabilitation system developed to accommodate the needs of medically complex patients. Offering six skilled exercise categories with multiple difficulty levels for balance, gait training, wheelchair mobility, upper extremity and cognitive activities.	Omnicycle: Accommodates patients who might not otherwise be able to participate due to strength, coordination, neurologic or cardiorespiratory challenges. Providing both upper and lower extremity exercise options in three different “Motor-Assist” operation modes.
